2. Hiking and Biking Trails

 

For those seeking more rugged adventures, Whistler's extensive network of hiking and biking trails awaits. Nita Lake Lodge is surrounded by trail networks and right near Creekside Gondola for bike Park access. For now, let’s focus on the world-class free to access trail network.

Pro tip: Use the app Trailforks to see all the trails available, updates on conditions and get insight into the direction of travel as many trails are shared between hikers and bikers.

Westside Trails

On our doorstep are the “Westside Trails”, which are some of the areas most established routes, built over many years by Whistler’s most well-known trail builders. It’s characterized by some of the best views in Whistler, combined with a biker’s heavenly mix of slabs, roots and technical descents. It’s a challenge by choice with a selection lookout getting increasingly more beautiful the further up you dare to embark.

 

Cheakamus Trails

The Cheakamus trails network starts off next to the beautiful Cheakamus river just off the highway near Function Junction. With easy parking, the area offers a range or terrain for all levels of rider, and makes for a great day out if you want to have a blend of biking and hiking with local named hikes in easy reach.

Lost Lake Trails

Just minutes from Whistler Village lies Lost Lake Park, a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Explore winding trails that lead through old-growth forests, past tranquil ponds, and to breathtaking viewpoints overlooking the valley below. Whether you're a novice hiker or a seasoned trailblazer, Lost Lake offers hiking and biking routes suitable for all skill levels. Easily accessible from Whistler Village, there is also a shuttle bus that operates in the summer directly to the lake.

Whistler South

One of the first trail networks to be clear in spring is the Whistler South trail network. An early-season favorite, this network offers something for all the bikers with options for flow trails and steep technical sections. Enjoy awesome nature with a mix of subalpine trails in deep forests.

 

Whistler North

North of Whistler Village in an area known as Whistler North. Just there is a selection of trails known for their chunder, roots and slabs, with several classic runs. Most of the network is for expert bikers only, but there are a small number of trails that all levels of rider can enjoy.

 

Blackcomb Trails

Originally built without permission on Blackcomb Mountain, these trails have now been adopted by Whistler Blackcomb who help WORCA in maintenance. Blackcomb trails reward the intrepid climbers with beautiful forests and technical steep terrain. Make sure to bring plenty of water with you!

3. Whistler Blackcomb

In the summer months, this world-renowned destination transforms into a mecca for downhill riders, offering a plethora of trails (70!) catering to all skill levels with over 1000km of maintained flow, air and technical.
